AutoCAD history [ edit ]
The concept behind AutoCAD is simple: instead of a user requiring knowledge of how a drawing is constructed, AutoCAD applies the underlying theory of vector graphics to the drawing process. A vector graphic is one that can be scaled without a loss of quality.
The CADDIS (Computer Aided Drafting In The Integrated Systems) or Systems Development Laboratory at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst was the first CAD system designed specifically for use in production environments. The first commercial CAD software product, Autodesk® AutoCAD® 1.0, was introduced by Autodesk Inc. in 1984. AutoCAD 1.0 was one of the first desktop, software-only products, and had a set of low-level programs which were intended to be used together as a complete system. In particular, AutoCAD 1.0 included an interpreter which translated user-drawn geometry to vector graphics commands, and a library of standard shapes used by the interpreter. Many professional users of CAD systems used this combination of software and interpreter/library for many years.
In 1989, Autodesk developed a Windows®-based CAD system, AutoCAD LT. This was a lower-cost alternative to the original AutoCAD. In 1990, Autodesk introduced AutoCAD 2.0, the first fully integrated, full-featured drawing system in both 2D and 3D.
In 1993, Autodesk introduced AutoCAD 2000, the first program specifically for the needs of architects and engineers. AutoCAD 2000 uses a different rendering engine than previous versions, which allows it to export to PDF in addition to common CAD formats, such as DXF and DWG. It also introduced a new user interface to make it easier for users to control the system. AutoCAD 2000 was the first version to incorporate a «Sketch» view, which was used for the first time in 3D. AutoCAD 2000 was the first to incorporate the ability to zoom across an entire drawing from any corner. This feature was enhanced by Autodesk in AutoCAD 2006.
AutoCAD 2007 introduced an entirely new user interface and new features. It retained the capability to model in 3D and to use the Sketch view, but the user interface was completely redesigned to make it more intuitive to use. AutoCAD 2008 introduced a new «paper space» concept, which allowed the designer to track objects

Flocculation in olive mill wastewaters by biogenic nanoparticles produced by lactic acid bacteria and yeasts.
This paper deals with the flocculation of olive mill wastewaters (OMWs) by two lactic acid bacteria, Lactobacillus plantarum IFO 3207 and Lactobacillus fermentum IFO 3405, and one yeast, Trametes versicolor, using non-cultivable bacteria produced with homofermentative probiotics (hbP) as seeds for bacterial bioflocculation (BBF). These hbPs form hydrophobic layers on the surface of bacteria by binding to hydrophobic substances and this process is known as biosurfactant production. OMWs were treated by the adsorption of hbPs onto bacterial cells and the flocculation of dispersed matter by the attachment of the biogenic hbPs to the dispersed matter. The chemical composition of OMWs had a significant influence on the recovery of turbidity, TOC and suspended solids. Results indicated that the addition of OMWs in a final concentration of 20 g L(-1) to a 100 ml slurry of bacterial suspension, containing an initial concentration of 5 g L(-1) of suspended solids and 60 g L(-1) of turbidity, resulted in flocculant efficiency of 88.9% after 4 min of reaction. The OMWs caused only a slight decrease in the numbers of viable cells of the bacteria. A correlation between flocculation performance and the chemical composition of OMWs was also observed. The extracellular domain of the insulin receptor-substrate (IR-S) expressed in Escherichia coli is resistant to proteolysis and is secreted into the medium.
The extracellular domain of the insulin receptor-substrate (IR-S) was expressed in Escherichia coli and tested for its ability to mediate insulin binding and mitogenic activity in a mouse fibroblast cell line (NIH3T3). The resulting fusion protein, consisting of the extracellular domain of the insulin receptor (IRex) fused to a 23-kDa polypeptide, was expressed at high levels and was secreted into the growth medium. The fusion protein was very soluble and bound insulin specifically and with high affinity (Kd = 4.5 +/- 0.5 nm). The fusion protein was not cleaved by acid or alkaline proteases, suggesting
What’s New in the AutoCAD?
More intuitive access to your drawings. Invite people to collaborate, add comments, and get them to their destinations safely.
Draw, edit, and annotate text with precise shapes and styles. Draw and edit across multiple views for flexibility and accuracy, even while you’re using a laser cutter or CNC machine.
Save space and money. Turn drawings into 3D models. Automatically export for CNC machines, 3D printers, and more.
Make 3D models with a variety of methods. Combine drawings with CAD data and models, to make additional views or modify existing views and objects.
Place your drawings or model files on the cloud and share them with others. Use the cloud as a backup, send files to people on the move, or make CAD files available to non-CAD users.
Annotation style options now apply to multiple annotations.
Replace all existing annotations. Automatically re-annotate CAD drawings with just a few clicks.
Designed to be a new platform for Autodesk for AutoCAD, Release 2023 includes some new tools and a new look for the Drawing and Annotation tabs.
If you’re ready to begin using AutoCAD 2020 or AutoCAD LT 2020, you may already be familiar with the tools in Release 2023, and AutoCAD LT 2020 for Windows.
If you haven’t tried out AutoCAD LT 2020, you can also download the software and try it out.
You can use any of our activation options to download and activate a fully-featured trial version of AutoCAD LT 2020 for Windows, Windows 10, or Windows 7.
AutoCAD LT 2020 is a desktop application designed for industry professionals and desktop computer users who wish to quickly create 2D drawings and 2D models, and who also want to draw, mark up text, and work collaboratively.
This new AutoCAD LT 2020 provides many enhancements over AutoCAD LT 2019 including better collaboration tools, fewer menu items, and more workflow enhancements.
Each of these new features are explained in more detail in the AutoCAD LT 2020 video walk-through.
The new AutoCAD LT 2020 for Windows, and AutoCAD LT 2020 for Mac, are compatible with earlier versions of AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT.
